A bright and lively fire dances in the hearth
But all you see in front of you are obstacles in your path.
A vast expanse of ocean sparkles in the sun
But your mind’s eye is fixed on an impossible horizon
A melancholy owl hoots softly from a tree
But your ears are full of woes that you hear constantly
A warm spring sun gently kisses your cool skin
But the chill of life that grips you comes from deep within
You sip an icy beer on a hot summers’ day
But your mind is on the future and not with you today
Life has so many gifts, that she´d like to offer you,
But when she calls there’s no-one home to give her bounties to.
You’ve forgotten what an amazing world you live in!
Close your eyes, open your heart and healing will begin.

Lovely poem.
We so frequently have the bounty that nature provides only to ignore it and focus on things that raise our fear, concern and stress levels.
Enveloping ourselves in love and calmness is an effort as we continue to struggle with control of our our own external influences.
Your poem shows how to control the negative influences rather than let them control you, and to keep a large space open to receive all that is natural and beautiful around us.
